With another lockdown on it's way (which I won't talk too much about because let's be honest we've all heard enough of it already!) I'm going to share some of my personal goals and the reasoning behind them to make the most of this situation.
1. 10k Steps Every Day! #neatup247
Earlier this year I was really good at hitting my 10k step count everyday however since the shorter winter days have arrived, I've found myself at the gym rather than out walking (great for my training routine, not so much for the walking). I'll be working from home part time for now so I'm going make the most of living by the beach and the (hopefully) sunny weather and walk everyday (unless it's torrential rain of course, no one needs that).
2. Weight Train 3 Times A Week - Minimum.
The benefit of spending more time in the gym means my strength has increased. I want to make sure I remain in a good routine and don't loose what I've been working so hard to build, especially over the last few months!
3. Don't Mindlessly Snack
Being at home more means there are more snacks around you and more opportunities to eat them (and who doesn't love a snack?!) so my aim is to prepare healthier snack options, focus on eating whole foods and only eating when I'm hungry (roughly within my calorie limit - because we all know I don't count them precisely!).
4. Read & Educate Myself
I have some lifestyle books I've been meaning to finish for ages and with some more time at home I have no excuse not to finish them (she says...).
I have a couple of Sarah Knight books to finish and I've ordered James Smith's old and new book. I have already listened the the audiobook of the first book (about 10 times if not more) however there's just something about having an actual copy and taking time out to read and educate myself.
5. Secret Side Hustle
There are a few things I have wanted to action and get going for a while however I've always found an excuse to be too busy (which in my defence I totally was but anyway...). It's time to get them moving! Watch this space....
*I'll update regularly on my Instagram @luxe.life.co so come and say hi :)
6. Create New Recipes
Whilst in Lockdown number 1, I had so much fun experimenting with different recipes and creating yummy meals, snacks, shakes, etc. but since being back at work full time I've fallen into a routine of making food thats delicious but the same. I'm looking forward to having more time to spend in the kitchen.
Of course I'll share all my creations (failures and all) to my Luxe Life Instaram @luxe.life.co
7. Pilates
Since joining a gym a month or so ago I've fallen back in love with Pilates. I used to do it years ago but fell out of the routine when I couldn't find a class I liked or I changed jobs, gyms, etc. My lovely new Pilates Instructor is doing live classes online so I am determined to keep up my classes and support her and her business thought lockdown 2.0
8. Spend Time with my Family
I'm lucky enough to still live with my family and have a great relationship with them. One benefit of this second lockdown will be getting to spend more time with them whilst we have the chance to be at home together.
I hope that may have inspired you to set some goals for the next month (hopefully not but maybe longer :/ ). Please come on over to my Instagram and say HI, I'll be posting daily on there!
Speak Soon,
Molly x
