You don't have to stop enjoying the foods you love to maintain a healthy lifestyle! Simply make the recipes work for you, for example we all know how much I LOVE ITALIAN FOOD and there was no way I could live with a diet that didn't contain the foods that make me happy! So I simply found ways of including it that not only make me happy but are also healthy & help maintain my lifestyle!
This yeast free pizza recipe is something I've recently discovered and is without a doubt the best pizza I've ever tried - no exaggeration! (If you follow Luxe Life's Instagram you'll know I have this once or twice a week, every week! See, no need to cut out your food faves!) Unlike normal pizzas, these don't bloat me, don't upset my digestion & more importantly are adaptable to YOU! Thanks to John Torode on This Morning for sharing this super easy & delicious recipe.
You will need...
For the pizza dough:
50ml warm water
200g thick yoghurt
250g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
20ml olive oil
A pinch of salt
For the toppings:
(This is my personal favourite combination but use what works for you #adaptable)
Tomato passata
Dried oregano
Spinach
Prosciutto
Mozzarella
Mushrooms
Himalayan pink salt & pepper
Drizzle of garlic oil on top to finish (once cooked)
The super simple & easy method:
1. Pre-heat oven to max temperature & place trays in to heat them up
2. Make up the dough: Mix all of the dry ingredients together
3. Add in the wet ingredients & mix to form a dough
4. Kneed the dough a little to combine through (I always end up sprinkling a little more flour if the dough is too sticky to kneed)
5. Leave dough to sit for 10 mins
6. Split into 3 or 4 balls (the recipe is for 4 but I split it into 3) & roll out into pizza bases
7. Sprinkle some flour on the hot trays, place pizza bases on them & cook for 4-5 mins.
8. Flip pizza bases over, add toppings & cook for a further 8-10 mins
9. Add some garlic oil if you have it, himalayan salt & pepper (it adds that perfect final touch!) & enjoy!
If you make these pizzas please take pictures & tag me on Instagram and on Facebook. I love to see you enjoying healthy & delicious recipes. Happy cooking :)
Until next time... Molly x
